Earlier this year, way back in January to be precise, Zac Efron won the Favorite Movie Star under 25 Award at The People's Choice Awards. While that may not mean much in the grand scheme of things, it certainly led many to believe the one-time High School Musical star had a bright future ahead of him. With no movies this year, Efron makes his return to theatres next year with The Lucky One.
The Lucky One is yet another adaptation of a Nicholas Sparks novel. Efron plays a war veteran who returns home to search for a mystery woman. When he does, well, we did say this was adapted from a Nicholas Sparks novel. Efron is a strong, supportive presence in the woman's life. Enter an ex-lover, drama and anguish that ultimately leads to a shower make-out scene and a happy romantic end.
