It’s no secret by now that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 ripped through the weekend box office like a bat out of hell – collecting several records along the way, including biggest midnight opening ($43.5 million), biggest opening day ($92.1 million) and biggest opening weekend total ($168 million). Sure, the fact that the final Harry Potter movie arrived in 3D certainly helped boost those numbers, but really it came down to it being, ya know, the final Harry Potter movie, like, ever. That kinda played a part in the high box office totals too.
