What to Watch on Vudu

Warmer temperatures outside make us even more eager to cool off with a hot movie inside. We're happy to help with a guide to what's new to watch at home this week. We also have word on a number of sales that will allow the discerning movie viewer to enhance their viewing library, whether you prefer blockbusters or something a little more esoteric.

Fandango At Home

See what premium titles are available to watch on Vudu this week!

Desperate to save his marriage to Jaimie Alexander, Gerard Butler becomes even more frantic after she suddenly disappears during a roadside stop in Last Seen Alive. As a devoted husband, Butler will stop at nothing to find her in the pulse-pounding thriller.

We love the titular beasts in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, who consistently threaten to steal the spotlight from Jude Law, Mads Mikkelsen, Eddie Redmayne and company. But we can't deny the appeal of watching Liam Neeson as an expert assassin who gets caught in a moral quagmire in Memory, which we can safely say you'll never forget watching.

Of course, it's best to avoid a moral quagmire entirely, like the one The Bad Guys are in when a gang of friendly gangsters endeavors to go straight for fun and profit. A Viking prince (Alexander Skarsgård) has no hesitation, though, about pursuing his ruthless goals in The Northman, a rip-roaring adventure that gets quite bloody.

New Releases

Mark Wahlberg stars as an amateur boxer who comes to realize that he has a different calling in Father Stu. Based on a true story, it's rugged and surprising; Wahlberg is terrific.

Speaking of surprises, Dashcam is a timely psychological thriller that proves to be both political and provocative. Going back in time a bit, Wolf Hound follows a courageous pilot during World War II who must rescue captured fellow soldiers while he's endeavoring to save the world from a nefarious plot.

Now Available to Buy or Rent

Fancy precision tailoring in your clothing? In The Outfit, expert tailor Mark Rylance is dismayed when he finds himself caught in the middle of a battle between two trigger-happy crime families. Beware the flying bullets and blood! Things may get messy.

Now Available in 4K UHD

If you're already equipped with a 4K UHD television, you know how the higher resolution really makes the colors pop, which makes The Bad Guys an especially inviting experience to enjoy at home with your family and friends.

The higher resolution also makes a strong impact in The Northman. Cinematographer Jarin Blaschke has previously teamed with director Robert Eggers on both his previous features, The Witch and The Lighthouse, but their collaboration here is even more satisfying.
