Have you ever wondered what it'd be like if you actually won an Oscar? There's the big speech in front of millions of people followed by parties full of celebrities, free stuff, lots of picture-taking and just a plethora of awesomeness. 

Okay, but what if you pretended to win an Oscar? Would you still get to do all the cool stuff as if you were a legit winner? One regular dude wanted to find out, so he dressed up in a tuxedo, snagged himself a fake Academy Award trophy and paraded around Hollywood right after the Oscar ceremony to see what would happen.

And...well, let's just say the results are pretty amusing. Watch it all unfold below.

You'd think it'd be surprising to see how much free stuff he's given just for holding an Oscar statue, but credit does go to them for building out the prank, to the point of crafting a fake video acceptance speech. We didn't see them enter any big Oscar parties -- and it would've been fun to watch him slink up next to a real Oscar winner for a photo -- but the fact that he actually manages to get (or, well, steal) a car is pretty scary... and also very funny. 

Make sure you stick it out till the end, though, because there is a sweet message to go along with the prank.
