Friends come in all sizes, shapes and colors. Often, they speak different languages; sometimes, they come from different planets and species! In the Star Wars films, deep, lasting and meaningful friendships have been formed among droids, humans, Wookiees and others. Such friends are not overly concerned about outward appearances. They have proven their steadfast loyalty over time. Even when they are in danger, they never hesitate to take self-sacrificing action on behalf of their friends.
We see abundant evidence of those special kind of relationships in a new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker video. Really, Star Wars "means family," according to Daisy Ridley, who stars as Rey. "The emotion of it all. Making a film with people you really love." No wonder C-3PO wants to take "one last look" at his friends! Those emotions include happiness and joy, of course, as we can plainly see in fun snippets of behind-the-scenes footage from this film and previous Star Wars films. We also hear from stars John Boyega and Oscar Isaac, who talk about the fun spirit among the cast and crew on director J.J. Abrams's set.
Enjoy watching the video in its entirety below. Be sure to get tickets now to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker when it opens in theaters everywhere on Friday, December 20.
