It started out as a small movie about an all-female singing group, but not long after Pitch Perfect hit theaters it became an instant fan favorite, growing in popularity once it arrived on home video, and of course that meant a sequel wouldn't be too far away. Now we have the first trailer for Pitch Perfect 2, due in theaters on May 15, 2015, and... well, they crushed it.
The Bellas are most definitely back, and this time they're going global. Even better... the female-driven sequel is also being directed by a woman, with star Elizabeth Banks stepping behind the camera for her big debut.
Starring Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Rebel Wilson, Adam DeVine, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow, Alexis Knapp, Ester Dean, Hana Mae Lee, John Michael Higgins and Elizabeth Banks, the sequel adds Hailee Steinfeld and Katey Sagal to the mix.
