Dell (Kevin Hart) badly needs a job. In view of his past criminal record, he's willing to do anything legal, even the kind of work that he's never done before. That makes him perfectly suited to become a caregiver for Phillip (Bryan Cranston), a wealthy paraplegic who is known to be, shall we say, grouchy around other people.
In this trailer for The Upside, based on a true story, we see how two people from very different backgrounds become very unlikely friends. Their initial wariness is broken down by a shared sense of humor and a deep-seated desire to make a true and lasting connection.
