At New York Comic-Con this week, we're getting tantalizing teases for some anticipated upcoming movies. Included in the bunch are the sequels War for the Planet of the Apes and John Wick: Chapter 2, the trailer for the latter of which will drop on Saturday.
The first teaser trailer for the third (and final?) Apes movie will likely be released too, but before that happens we have this ominous tease of what's to come in the form of a video that's also a digital billboard currently running in Times Square. In it, Caesar (Andy Serkis) is heard warning someone to stay away as he reluctantly admits an all-out war is upon them all.
Check it out.
War for the Planet of the Apes hits theaters on July 24, 2017.
Here's the full plot synopsis:
In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.
And then there's John Wick.
John Wick: Chapter 2 star Keanu Reeves will be on hand for a special panel at New York Comic-Con, and they'll reveal the first trailer for the action sequel due out on February 10, 2017. Until then, you can enjoy the tease that comes with this short snippet of the trailer ahead of its more formal reveal this weekend.
In it, John Wick heads to Rome, Italy for some kind of party... with guns. What else do we know? Well, he's got a new dog (see image above) and part of the film will also take Wick to the streets of New York City, all while checking back in to the mysterious Continental Hotel, a safe haven for assassins that was introduced in the first film.
