Liam Neeson and his particular set of skills are back in Tak3n (or Taken 3), the third installment in an explosive franchise that helped reinvent Neeson as the badass action star he was always meant to be.
The first trailer for the sequel (due in theaters on January 9) has busted its way online, and you can check it out below.
We're definitely feeling a vibe that's like a cross between Jason Bourne and Harrison Ford's The Fugitive, as this time around Neeson's Bryan Mills is framed for his wife's murder, forcing the one-man killing machine to go on the run from the various government forces trying to find him -- not to mention the people who are actually responsible for the crime. In addition to Neeson, Maggie Grace returns as the daughter Mills fights so hard to protect, and Forest Whitaker looks to be playing one of the many men trying to hunt our hero down.
