In The Conjuring, we were introduced to paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of their real-life cases served as the basis for James Wan's terrifying drama, set in 1971. Since then, we've experienced a series of scary stories in Annabelle, The Conjuring 2 and Annabelle: Creation, going back and forth in time as more real-life cases have been dramatized.
