When Captain America: Civil War opened in theaters earlier this year, it featured a spectacular collection of superheroes, including the introduction of Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Spider-Man (Tom Holland) to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Yet the absence of fan favorites Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) made many wonder why they were missing.
While Nick Fury has only appeared in Marvel movies sparingly of late, Jackson says he expects his character to return in Avengers: Infinity War. But what about Thor and Hulk?
At Comic-Con in San Diego last month, Marvel showed a short film to fans in attendance that explained what Thor was doing during the events covered in the blockbuster. Now Marvel has released the short so that we all can enjoy it. Keep an eye out for Bruce Banner as well.
Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi shared the video via social media and added his own comment on the video he made.
This is what happens when you hire me to make a superhero movie. I tried to warn them! #TeamThor https://t.co/m9J2CUeRCo

The video will be included along with other bonus material from Captain America: Civil War on digital HD on Friday, September 2. Thor and Hulk will be reunited in Thor: Ragnarok, set to open in theaters on November 3, 2017.
