Universal Studios will celebrate its 100th year anniversary this year and has begun to reveal plans on how they will celebrate.

The studio will begin with restoring and reissuing 13 classic films that will be re-packaged into a 100th anniversary collector's series DVD, although it's unclear whether the films will also receive a theatrical run.

The 13 films are:

Jaws

Dracula

Dracula Spanish

Frankenstein

Schindler's List

Out of Africa

Pillow Talk

Bride of Frankenstein

The Birds

All Quiet on the Western Front

The studio will also debut their new logo (see below) in front of Dr. Seuss' The Lorax.

You can follow along with the official Universal Centennial website as well as a newly created Tumblr account. Fans of Universal classics on Facebook will also find exclusive and special opportunities across their favorite fan pages throughout the year while followers of @UniversalPics on Twitter can find the activities using the hashtag #Universal100. And if that wasn't enough social media exposure for you, Foursquare users who check in at Universal locations such as the studio and theme parks will be able to unlock special behind-the-scenes tips and content.
