George Clooney stars in Alexander Payne’s comedy-drama about a land baron who tries to reconnect with his two daughters after his wife suffers a boating accident. Set in Hawaii, Descendants carries the same dramatic tone as Payne’s previous films, Sideways and About Schmidt. Co-starring Shailene Woodley, Matthew Lillard, Beau Bridges and Robert Forster, The Descendants arrives in theaters Dec. 16th.
The Whistleblower is based on the experiences of Kathryn Bolkovac, a Nebraska cop who served as a peacekeeper in post-war Bosnia and exposed the U.N. for covering up a sex scandal. Rachel Weisz stars as Bolkovac in Larysa Kondracki’s feature film debut. The talented cast includes Monica Bellucci, Vanessa Redgrave and David Strathairn and arrives in theaters August 5th.
Anna Faris stars in a romantic comedy about a woman who looks back at the past 20 men she’s had relationships with in her life and wonders if one of them might be her one true love. While the trailer pretty much shows you the entire movie in the span of two-and-a- half minutes, Number co-stars Chris Evans, Zachary Quinto, Andy Samberg, Joel McHale, Aziz Ansari and Anthony Mackie among the men in Faris’ past. What’s Your Number? hits theaters September 30.
