A sweeping romantic drama that charts the lives of three Dutch women from different backgrounds who emigrate to New Zealand as war brides, Bride Flight gets a limited release in Los Angeles this weekend. Critics have tagged this movie a lush, epic romantic weepie that’s filled with rich characters and great acting.
 

 
Director Ahmed Ahmed leads a group of comedians on a tour from Dubai to Beirut, Riyadh to New York and exposes the taboos of culture and geopolitics. Tommy Davidson, Tom Papa and Whitney Cummings co-star in this documentary which screens at The Landmark Regent in Los Angeles.
 

 
Director Taggart Siegel follows up his excellent documentary The Real Dirt on Farmer John with a look at the global bee crisis. Siegel takes us on a journey through the catastrophic disappearance of bees and the mysterious world of the beehive while intertwining dramatic stories of beekeepers, scientists and philosophers from around the world. Queen of the Sun screens in Chicago as well as New York’s Cinema Village this weekend before expanding next week.
