As anyone who jumped on the Tree of Life hype-wagon last year knows, Terrence Malick films are a genre unto themselves. You can always count on a beautifully shot, slow moving film with a top-notch ensemble cast and lots of philosophical dialogue about love and life.

To the Wonder has been in the news for quite some time – first with casting announcements that include Ben Affleck, Olga Kurylenko, Rachel McAdams and Javier Bardem as the main characters.

Then the discussion turned to when the film would be released and who might get cut out in the final edit. Rachel Weisz, Michael Sheen and Amanda Peet were among the well-known names that didn't make the final cut of the film and speculation was rampant about who else might get cut out.

Judging from this new trailer, Affleck, Bardem, McAdams and Kurylenko  are still in the film. The film premiered last September at the Venice Film Festival along with a follow-up screening at the Toronto Film Festival later that month.

The film left those festivals with mixed reviews and it'll be interesting to see if Malick tweaks the film at all before it releases in theaters on April 12, 2013.
