As depressing as it may sound for some of you, summer is just about over. Sure, that means back to school, colder weather and way-too-early Christmas reminders, but on the plus side it also means we're in store for a bunch of very promising films this fall. But before we get to geeking out over new Paul Thomas Anderson, Quentin Tarantino and Peter Jackson movies, let's take a look back over summer and share some of our more memorable moviegoing experiences.
For me my most memorable moviegoing experience this summer was seeing The Avengers. The theater was packed, the adrenaline was pumping, and it was so refreshing to see a movie with an audience that literally cheered on the film's best scenes. Watching The Avengers felt more like a party with my closest friends than it did a screening with a bunch of total strangers because the entire audience was feeling such a great vibe and having so much fun together.
Perhaps your favorite moviegoing experience from this summer is different, though. Maybe yours was a magical date with a special someone, or a unique screening (movie under the stars?) that stood out from the rest. Whatever it is, we'd love to hear about them, so share your most memorable times below.
