Happy Avatar Day! Yesterday, Fandango spoke with Sigourney Weaver on the set visit of Disney's forthcoming comedy, You Again. (We'll have the details for you on that soon.) The actress plays Dr. Grace Augustine in James Cameron's highly anticipated sci-fi, CG extravaganza about the Na'vi inhabitants from the planet of Pandora.

Director James Cameron and Sigourney Weaver on the set of "Avatar."

"I've seen all of it," Weaver says. "I haven't seen it in 3-D, I saw it in 2-D; that was enough for my heart." Seeming genuinely impressed, she continues, in a hushed voice, "It's absolutely amazing. It is so amazing. It's such a remarkable achievement and there's never been anything like it. I know I shouldn't over praise it, but I remember reading the script and just going, 'Well, this is great, but I just don't see how [Cameron] could do any of this.' I mean, it was so ambitious. And he's done it. He has done it."

We'll hand it to Cameron – the recent unveiling of the Avatar teaser trailer had fans rushing to sneak a peek, which crashed Apple's site. And the mad rush for free tickets to see 15 minutes of 3-D IMAX footage – in theaters today – did the same for Fox's site. If you've seen that footage already, tell us what you think! Does it live up to Weaver's praise so far?
