Taylor Lautner Joins ‘Incarceron’ Adaptation
Twilight heartthrob Taylor Lautner has been busy racking up a number of film roles to fill up his schedule once he’s no longer needed for the Twilight franchise (currently filming the two-part series finale, Breaking Dawn). Lautner has already filmed the thriller Abduction, and he’s still set to star in a Stretch Armstrong movie, but you can now add one more film to his slate: An adaptation of the young adult novel Incarceron.
Not only will Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) have to square off against villains with supernatural powers, but he’ll also find himself the target of some bullying at school. Relative newcomer (to big blockbusters, that is) Chris Zylka has boarded the Spider-Man reboot to play Flash Thompson, a character from Spider-Man’s earlier days at high school that’s known primarily for bullying Peter Parker, Spidey’s alter-ego. What’s funny about Thompson is that he also idolizes Spider-Man, and so there’s certainly room for a little humor in this relationship, especially once Parker gains super powers. Spider-Man hits theaters in 2012.
