When you think of Megan Fox, the first thought that enters your head usually isn’t, "Hmm, I wonder which church she prays at." I mean, correct me if I’m wrong, but the girl with nine different tattoos ain’t exactly teaching Sunday School in her spare time, right? That said, however, this will not stop her from accepting a role as an angel in a new film starring opposite the comeback kid older man, Mickey Rourke.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox and Rourke will star in the indie crime story Passion Plays. The film will follow a trumpet player (Rourke) who’s hit hard times and winds up saving an "angel" (Fox) from a ruthless gangster. In the script, Fox’s character is described as "a slender beauty with wings who is part of a carnival." This is quite the departure from Transformers and Iron Man, but it returns Rourke to the heavy drama that helped earn him an Oscar nod, and it gives Fox a role with a little more meat and less skin.
Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard and Cillian Murphy Join Nolan’s ‘Inception’
Okay, so he’s not exactly hard at work developing the next Batman movie, but Christopher Nolan has a little something else up his sleeve and it’s starting to look, smell and taste a tad bit awesome. Variety tells us that joining Leonardo DiCaprio in Nolan’s new sci-fi flick Inception are Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard and Cillian Murphy – bringing the film’s unbelievable actor total to four.
The cast is great, but what’s this sucker about? That, my friends, we still don’t fully know; the only piece of plot that’s been revealed has come in the form of a brief description that says the film takes place within "the architecture of the mind." DiCaprio and Cotillard will play husband and wife, while Page will play a young grad student. No word on Murphy’s role as of yet, but he’s got sinister eyes, so maybe he’ll be a baddie.
Are you excited for Nolan’s next film or would you rather he be working on the next Batman instead?
