Were you one of the people who absolutely adored The Hangover when it hit theaters last summer? Probably, since the film was easily the most successful R-rated comedy of 2009 – so much so that everyone involved is already hard at work on a sequel. But before that begins to take shape (this time around the guys will be reportedly heading to Thailand), the writing duo behind The Hangover are taking their money-making concept to your next office holiday party.
The LA Times reports that Hangover writers Jon Lucas and Scott Moore – along with directors Will Speck and Josh Gordon (Blades of Glory) -- are developing a comedy over at DreamWorks that will be set at an office holiday party – complete with (we assume) tacky decorations, boozin’ bosses, drunken secretaries and more than several really awkward (and illegal) sexual harassment-related scenarios.
It’s a smart idea, especially since everyone has either attended or known someone who attended a corporate holiday party that just got way too out of hand. Considering the fact that these four guys are responsible for some serious box office money (not to mention tons of big-screen hilarity), we should be in store for one heckuva memorable holiday party movie.
