Kong: Skull Island: Jason Mitchell, who delivered a captivating lead performance as Eazy-E in Straight Outta Compton, is heading to Kong: Skull Island. The actor is in negotiations to play "an easygoing pilot" in the King Kong spin-off adventure, which follows a team of explorers on an island filled with prehistoric creatures. If things work out, Mitchell would reunite with Straight Outta Compton star Corey Hawkins in the cast, led by Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson and Toby Kebbell. Fall of Gods: Director Wes Ball (The Maze Runner, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials) will serve as one of the producers of Fall of Gods, a big-screen adaptation of an illustrated novel. The source material is inspired by Norse mythology, revolving around a warrior who has retired to become a farmer; he must return to action and fight powerful creatures after the love of his life disappears. Why Him?: Bryan Cranston (Trumbo, above), who broke out as a sitcom star in Malcolm in the Middle before redefining himself as a dramatic actor with Breaking Bad, will star opposite James Franco in the comedy Why Him?
