The Intouchables: Kevin Hart (Ride Along 2) and Bryan Cranston (Trumbo) are in talks to star in The Intouchables, a remake of a French-language movie released in 2011. The original comedy-drama centers on a paraplegic aristocrat who hires a caregiver from the projects. Paul Feig (Ghostbusters) wrote a new script; Simon Curtis (Woman in Gold) is attached to direct the remake. [Deadline/Variety]
Mid-90s: Jonah Hill will make his directorial debut with Mid-90s, based on his own original screenplay. It's described as a coming-of-age comedy-drama revolving around "a group of California teens who are trying to navigate drinking, drugs, fighting, sex, looking cool and fitting in -- and making some really bad choices along the way." Hill's previous writing credits include 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street. [THR]
