The Last Witch Hunter

Gore Verbinski

Driverless Race-Car Movie?: Academy Award winner Gore Verbinski (Rango) is attached to direct a "large-scale action-adventure comedy" about driverless cars. Steve Conrad, who previously worked with Verbinski on 2005's The Weather Man, will write the screenplay, which will follow a cross-country race in which the passengers' competitive instincts overcome their "altruistic intentions." It's being compared to the 1963 all-star comedy It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. [Deadline]

Jauja

Jauja Trailer: Viggo Mortensen stars in a new trailer for Jauja, a Spanish-language Western that will open in theaters on March 20. Set in the beautiful, wide-open ranch land of Patagonia, Argentina in the late 1800s, the story follows Mortensen -- who speaks Spanish throughout -- as an army engineer in search of his 15-year-old daughter after she runs off with a young soldier.
