Jennifer Lawrence

Ocean's Eleven: Jennifer Lawrence is rumored to be at the top of the short list for a planned continuation of the Ocean's Eleven series. Reportedly, she would join Sandra Bullock, with Gary Ross, who directed Lawrence in The Hunger Games, eyed to direct. Bullock would play the sister of thief Danny Ocean (George Clooney in Steven Soderbergh's trilogy), described as an ex-con who "sets out to steal a necklace from [New York's] Met Ball and frame a crooked gallery owner." Godzilla

Godzilla 2: Filmmaker Gareth Edwards (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) has dropped out of directing the sequel to Godzilla (above) in favor of pursuing his own, "smaller in scale" projects. The filmmaker first gained notice with the low-budget Monsters. The release date for the Godzilla sequel was recently delayed to March 22, 2019. [Deadline]

 

Fantastic Four

Fantastic Four 2: Simon Kinberg, who cowrote and coproduced Fantastic Four, recently acknowledged: "We didn't make a good movie… I think we made many mistakes when we made that movie - mistakes that we learned from and we wouldn't repeat." Kinberg expressed his desire for the stars (Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell) to return for a sequel that would aim for "a brighter, funner, more optimistic tone." Indignation Trailer: Logan Lerman and Sarah Gadon star in the first trailer for Indignation, based on a novel by Philip Roth about a working-class student who attends college in 1951 while dealing with sexual repression and other social and cultural challenges.
