Transformers: Age of Extinction

Transformers 5: Mark Wahlberg, star of last summer's blockbuster smash Transformers: Age of Extinction, says he has committed to doing a couple more movies in the series and thinks the next one will be going into production soon. But what about director Michael Bay, who has hinted that he wants do other types of movies? Wahlberg would only say that he can't speak for Bay. [MTV]


David Fincher

David Fincher and HBO: Director David Fincher is now focused on three television shows for HBO. As reported, he will be directing all episodes of Utopia, scripted by Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl). The network is also moving forward with a film noir series set in 1950's Los Angeles titled Shakedown that Fincher has been developing with L.A. Confidential author James Ellroy. In addition, Fincher will direct the pilot episode of Living on Video, which follows music video crew workers in the 1980s, the milieu in which Fincher got his start. [Deadline/The Wrap]


True Story

True Story Trailer: Set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January, True Story is a real-life drama about a reporter (Jonah Hill) whose career took a troubling turn due to his own misconduct, and things become even more complicated when a suspected murderer (James Franco) assumes his identity.
