Channing Tatum  /  Gambit

Gambit: We heard back in May that Channing Tatum would play master thief, card shark and X-Men member Gambit, though it wasn't clear how he would fit into that superhero universe. Now Fox has made it official by announcing that Tatum's spin-off movie Gambit will be written by Josh Zetumer (the RoboCop remake). The script will be based on a treatment by Chris Claremont, who worked with Jim Lee to create the character for Marvel in 1990. [Deadline]

 

Thor The Dark World

The Avengers: Age of Ultron: Idris Elba, who costarred in the Thor movies as Heimdall, revealed that he and Tom Hiddleston will be in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The casting was evidently meant as a surprise: "I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth [Thor] and Tom Hiddleston [Loki], and they’re like, [whispers] – ‘Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?’" All secrets will be unveiled when the movie hits theaters next May.
