Lucky Logan: Steven Soderbergh, who announced his retirement from directing feature films in 2012, will return to the big screen to helm Lucky Logan. Channing Tatum will star in the movie; its premise has not yet been disclosed. Tatum and Soderbergh previously worked together on Haywire, Magic Mike (above) and Side Effects. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Last fall, Bryan Singer announced that 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea would be his next film and now we know who will be backing it. Fox is officially on board, aiming to begin production early in the fall; Singer will begin casting right away. Rick Sordelet and Dan Studney wrote the screenplay, based on the novel by Jules Verne. Singer says the movie will feature "not only the original characters of Captain Nemo, Ned Land and Professor Aronnax, but also some new and original characters and [sci-fi] plot twists." [Deadline]
The Three Little Stooges: Casting is underway on The Three Little Stooges, a new take on the classic comedy trio. Producers are searching for children to portray 12-year-old versions of Larry, Moe and Curly. Harris Goldberg (Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo) has written the screenplay and will direct. The hope is to start a new franchise, not directly related to the 2012 version (above). [Deadline]
Zoolander 2 Trailer: The final trailer for Zoolander 2 features more silly antics in the world of male models. Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson and Will Ferrell reprise their roles from the 2001 original, joined by Penélope Cruz and Kristen Wiig, among others. The comedy will open in theaters on February 12.
