Leonardo Da Vinci: Back in August 2017, we heard that Leonardo DiCaprio (The Revenant, above) will star in and produce a movie about the legendary painter and scientist Leonardo da Vinci, based on Walter Isaacson's biography. Now comes word that John Logan has been hired to write the screenplay. Among his numerous credits, Logan earned an Academy Award nomination for writing The Aviator, starring DiCaprio, who was also nominated for an Oscar. [Deadline]
Detective Pikachu: Suki Waterhouse (Love, Rosie, above) has joined the cast of Detective Pikachu. The role she is playing has not yet been disclosed; Ryan Reynolds stars in the big-screen version of a venerable video game series.
