Daisy Ridley in The Marsh King's Daughter

In The Marsh King’s Daughter, coming to theaters November 3, Helena (Daisy Ridley) hides a secret: She was born to a kidnapper known as the Marsh King (Ben Mendelsohn) and the teenager he abducted. Her father kept her off the grid for years, right up until he was caught.

But the Marsh King has escaped from prison, and Helena – now a wife and mother – is the only person who might be able to track him down. Can she use the skills he taught her to protect her family and bring her father to justice?

In our exclusive scene, Helena spots her father in the distance. She has a clear shot – but can she bring herself to take it?

The Marsh King’s Daughter is directed by Neil Burger from a script based on Karen Dionne’s novel. Ridley and Mendelsohn star alongside Garrett Hedlund, Caren Pistorius, Brooklynn Price and Gil Birmingham. It opens this Friday, only in theaters. You can get your tickets right here at Fandango.
