Tremors is a perfect movie.

The creature feature about a tiny town dealing with some not-so-tiny prehistoric worms was perfect when it hit theaters in 1990, and it's still perfect 25 years later. You know who agrees? Star Kevin Bacon, who revealed this week that he'd love to make another Tremors.

Perhaps what's most interesting about his quote is that he wasn't asked the direct hypothetical of "Would you ever make another Tremors movie?" The UK paper Metro [via We Got This Covered] asked what movie from his career would maybe benefit the most from modern CGI, and he was the one who brought up making another one.

“Definitely Tremors, but part of what’s great about that movie is there are next to no digital effects. The monsters are done with puppetry, and it’s still off, funny and scary – it’s a cool accomplishment. I’d love to do something else with Tremors and revisit the character 25 years later.”

There have actually been four pretty decent straight-to-video Tremors sequels since the '90s (Tremors 5: Bloodlines will hit later this year), but Bacon and his character Valentine weren't in any of them. Now that Bacon's most time-consuming project, the Fox TV show The Following, has ended, maybe he'll have the time and desire to finally give in to his own nostalgia and bring back Val for one last ride.
