Lionsgate has confirmed a rumor that had been circulating for some time now that four-time Academy Award nominee Julianne Moore has joined the cast for both of the The Hunger Games: Mockingjay movies.
Moore will play President Alma Coin, the leader of the rebellion against the Capitol.
The third and fourth installments of The Hunger Games franchise conclude our heroine Katniss Everdeen's journey as she leads the districts of Panem in a rebellion against President Snow (Donald Sutherland) and the corrupt Capitol.
Francis Lawrence, who helmed the upcoming The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, will direct both movies.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 is slated for release on November 21, 2014 and Part 2 will conclude the franchise on November 20, 2015.
