Last night at the Film Society of Lincoln Center's screening of Much Ado About Nothing was followed by a Q&A session with director Joss Whedon. Whedon answered a number of topics ranging from continuing the Firefly saga, sorting out what's going on with the Quicksilver character and his enthusiasm to one day take on… Batman!

You can read the full interview here, but scroll down to see what Whedon had to say about the aforementioned topics.

Much Ado About Nothing hits theaters on June 7.

On continuing the Firefly universe:

"Right now I'm happy to say everybody is working doing good jobs. There's a real fear of The Monkey's Paw, you know. You bring it back to life and it isn't the same. Even if it's great and it isn't the same. I'm dying to get on the ship with those guys again, but I'm also doing yet another goddamn huge ensemble movie [The Avengers 2]… I'm not going to do what I did the first time and move heaven and earth to make it happen."

On where things stand with the Marvel character Quicksilver:

"That's not something I can really talk about, but Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are going to be in the movie and they're going to be AWESOME."

On one day taking control of the Batman character:

"If I could get my hands on absolutely anybody it would be Batman. He's a Marvel character in the DC Universe."

And thus begins the Whedon for Batman movie campaign. Don't look for Whedon to take on the Gotham Knight anytime soon though. Along with Much Ado About Nothing, Whedon also serves as creative consultant for the new TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and is also working on putting together The Avengers 2.

Would you like to see Whedon continue the Firefly series or take on Batman someday?
