June 5th is the best holiday of the year, National Donut Day! Donuts are the classic on-the-go breakfast treat and have been featured in several movies, but none quite as big as the donut in Iron Man 2.
Randy’s Donuts is a landmark in Los Angeles, and in the movie the 32-foot-high homage to the fried pastry served as a comfortable seat for Tony Stark as he ate his morning breakfast.
Celebrate donuts and the movies by making your own fun, miniature version of the movie classic. Happy National Donut Day!
Iron Man Donut
You’ll need:
1 plain cake donut
black icing
#2 pastry tip
¾” tall paper cut out of Iron Man
Directions:
With the #2 tip and black icing, pipe the letters “Randy’s” across the top curvature of the donut. Then pipe “Donuts” across the bottom curvature.
Use more icing to secure the paper Iron Man into the center of the donut.
