For those who've seen Thor: Ragnarok, it is a pretty unanimous opinion that Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster steals all of the scenes he's in, and his wildly colorful eccentricity adds so much greatness to the film as a whole. A few months back it was revealed that Goldblum's Grandmaster -- a towering figure who rules the planet Sakaar and oversees its gladiator battles, including the film's pivotal fight between Thor and Hulk -- is actually the brother of Benicio Del Toro's Collector, a character featured prominently in the first Guardians of the Galaxy.

The Collector, like the Grandmaster, was also weird and cool and a scene stealer, and his little collection lair was full of all kinds of nerdy Easter eggs that fans continue to scour over. Now, as Thor: Ragnarok arrives in theaters, fans are naturally antsy to know whether a day will come where Goldblum's Grandmaster and Del Toro's Collector are featured in the same Marvel movie.

And we may just have that answer!

"It would be awesome man. It would be great," Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige told Fandango when we asked him whether the two fan favorites would ever share the screen together. "We love the idea that they're brothers. If you go on the Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout attraction at California Adventure in Anaheim, you will see a picture on Collector's wall of he and the Grandmaster playing some sort of a space chess game, which right now is the only place you can see the two of them in a frame together, but let's hope that changes someday."

When we followed up and suggested that the chess image is actually depicting a scene in a future Marvel movie, Feige added, "Exactly!

Is the Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout ride actually teasing a scene from either of the two upcoming Avengers movies or Guardians of the Galaxy 3? That certainly appears to be what Feige is alluding to, but where and when these two Marvel characters will appear together still remains a mystery.

Nevertheless, Feige is beyond happy to have figured out a way to work Goldblum into the MCU. "Jeff Goldblum has been on our wish list for many, many years. Many, many years we've wanted Jeff Goldblum in the universe somewhere, and thank God we never found anything until the Grandmaster came along because, yes, it doesn't get more perfect than that."
