Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

To celebrate the upcoming individual release of the Indiana Jones films on Blu-ray -- they were previously available only in a box set -- Paramount Pictures asked a small bake shop in the United Kingdom to create something special. Inspired by a memorable scene in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Heartache Cakes came up with a "monkey brains" concoction that looks diabolically delicious. We're jealous of movie sites like Hey U Guys that received them!

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

The second installment of the Indiana Jones series is definitely the most horrific of them all, what with child enslavement, human sacrifice and very bloody "open heart surgery," but it's nowhere near as violent as Hellraiser, which, as it happens, also recently inspired a cake. Strangely enough, the Hellraiser cake, created by The Wild Orchid Baking Company in New Hampshire and shared by Bloody Disgusting, is far less icky than the Indiana Jones cake. It's based on the lament configuration, which is the puzzle box dreamed up by Clive Barker, and leads to another dimension of pain and suffering. From the looks of it, though, this cake will lead to a dimension of joy and happiness.
