This Christmas we'll be getting two gorgeously photographed movies about men fighting for their own survival deep in the snow-covered wilderness. One is the very serious The Revenant, about a man who seeks revenge after being left for dead. The other is the less serious The Hateful Eight, about a bunch of bounty hunters teetering on the edge of chaos when they get stuck in the same lodge together. It's basically the Deep Impact and Armageddon of our time!
The first trailer for Quentin Tarantino's eighth film has just popped up online and it shows off not just his trademark humor that will certainly set The Hateful Eight apart, but also the glorious 70 mm cinematography and its ridiculous ensemble cast, which includes Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Walton Goggins, Bruce Dern, Demian Bichir, Zoë Bell and more.
