If you've seen the original Ghostbusters, then I'm sure you remember the scene where our heroes answer a call from the NYC Public Library, who claim a ghost is roaming around its halls, scaring people. The scene itself is hilarious – as the three Ghostbusters all try to figure out the best way to handle the ghost while she quietly enjoys a book. Of course things don't go as planned, and the men wind up running out of the library screaming like girls. Now, all these years later, it seems they've finally returned … sort of.

'Ghostbusters'

The comedy group Improv Everywhere was asked by the library to stage an improv sketch inside its great hall to draw attention to how magnificent it is. See, the library is facing some massive budget cuts, and it looks like they wanted to draw some viral attention toward it to try to get more people to take advantage of its vast resources. Considering the fact that this video is flying across the internet faster than those Ghostbusters bolted out of the library in the film's opening scene, I'd say they did a pretty good job.

FYI: Improv Everywhere is a comedy team who stage elaborate improve pranks in public places. So, no one in this library knew what was about to happen. Check out the video below…
