What if ET returned to earth years later to warn us of an impending alien invasion? That’s the central premise in this fantastic extended trailer mash-up (roughly six minutes long) that imagines an ET sequel that brings back our favorite alien from the ‘80s … plus an army of his own kind out to destroy the human race.
Using pieces of footage from other films, as well as their own blips of CG trickery, ET-X: Extinction also brings back the character of Elliott, who, as an adult, must team back up with the alien he helped return home as a kid in order to save the planet. We’ve got alien spaceships blowing people up, scenes featuring the military trying to use Reese’s Pieces to capture the enemy, and, well, there’s Drew Barrymore too!
