If the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie has you waxing nostalgic, then munching on a slice of their favorite snack is probably right up your alley. The traditional Turtles prefer classic pepperoni or anchovies, but if tiny fish are not your thing, check out these twists on the Italian classic from five fabulous food bloggers. Make it a family night by whipping up one of these pies and then heading out to the movies.

Raphael’s Spicy Barbecue Chicken Pizza

Inspired by Raphael’s feisty personality? Try this Tex-Mex pizza recipe from Will Cook for Friends. The pizza is made with barbecue sauce, shredded cheese, grilled chicken, bacon, sliced purple onions and pizza crust. Simply brush the cooked crust with the barbecue sauce as your "pizza sauce" and top with cheese, chicken and onions. Bake until cheese melts and bubbles.

Michelangelo’s Hawaiian Pizza Dip

A pizza party wouldn’t be complete without this wacky pizza combination found at bake my day. Party-loving Michelangelo would gobble up this cacophony of tropical flavors, which is a unique crust-less version of pizza that doubles as a perfect appetizer or pre-movie snack. Ingredients include dried herbs, diced pineapple, Canadian bacon, cream cheese and pizza sauce that meld together to create one unforgettable dish. Serve with pita bread, pretzels or chips.

April’s Apple Pie Dessert Pizza

This recipe is literally a pizza pie, found at Six Sisters' Stuff. Layered apples, oatmeal and sugary sweetness create a dish sure to inspire seconds. And it’s almost as sweet as leading lady reporter April O’Neil.

Cool-Leo Raw Veggie Pizza

One of our family favorites is a pizza that’s simple to put together and requires minimal effort. This recipe, found at Sunny Side Up, creates a crust from crescent roll dough that's spread with cream cheese and dill. Top with your favorite chopped raw veggies, such as cauliflower, carrots and broccoli. This cool as a cucumber pizza is reminiscent of Leonardo’s laid-back personality and first-born status.

Donatello Me No to This Pizza

Fresh ingredients and homemade crust are the secrets to this recipe, found at sally's baking addiction. The bright red plum tomatoes and fresh mozzarella cheese combined with the gooey cheese and aromatic basil will make it hard to say no to a second and third slice of this Italian classic. Grill up this pizza outdoors for an easy summer dinner.

Round out the rest of your night with a bag of popcorn and catch all the intense action when the Turtles hit the big screen. Rated PG-13, the movie’s explosive action scenes may be best suited for pre-teens, teenagers and adults, but the pizzas can be enjoyed by all! What is your favorite topping on a pizza pie?
