In 2004, veteran CBS news producer Mary Mapes and iconic news anchor Dan Rather made the decision to run a story investigating then-president George W. Bush's military service on a broadcast of 60 Minutes. What ensued was a whirlwind of controversy that thrust both Mapes and Rather into a journalistic battle for their professional lives and reputations.

In this exclusive Fandango Movieclips clip from Truth, Rather is reminded of his once-signature sign-off, "courage," something that he will need to remember when facing the oncoming torrent of criticism. Truth stars Robert Redford as Rather, Cate Blanchett as Mapes, and Dennis Quaid as Lt. Colonel Roger Charles.

Truth is in theaters October 16.
