We have an exclusive clip from The Possession of Michael King, in theaters on August 22, that is as bold as the title of the movie. In the clip, a documentary filmmaker named Michael King declares his intention to test "the blackest of the black magic," setting up cameras to record his activites 24/7. He says he wants to capture proof of supernatural activities.
But as a nonbeliever in either God or the Devil, he will be perfectly satisfied to demonstrate the failure of occult practioners to summon forth anything related to their beliefs in religion, spiritualism and the paranormal. He's still dealing with the sudden death of his wife, which has moved him to take drastic action by inviting demonologists, necromancers, and other occult practitioners to give him their best shot. Yet even the devoutly skeptical Michael will be shocked by what happens when a horrifying force enters the picture.
Shane Johnson stars as the filmmaker, with Dale Dickey (Iron Man 3), Tomas Aranal (Gladiator) and Julie McNiven (TV's Mad Men) costarring in this new thriller from the producers of White Noise and The Haunting in Connecticut. David Jung directed; as noted, the movie will open in theaters on August 22. You can watch the clip below.
