Beauty and the Beast

If you're not enchanted by Disney's animated Beauty and the Beast, we can't help you. For everyone else who once fell in love with Belle, a driven young woman who trades her own freedom to save her father's life, and the Beast, a prince cursed to live the lonely life of a monster, prepare to fall in love all over again. Disney is reimagining its classic film as a new, live-action musical and we finally have a look at its title characters together thanks to Entertainment Weekly. Head to EW for nine new pictures from the movie. 

As should be of no surprise to anyone, they look incredible.

Dan Stevens and Emma Watson star as, respectively, the beast and the beauty. Gaston, the handsome oaf that doesn't understand why Belle won't marry him, is played by Luke Evans, with his sidekick Le Fou played by Josh Gad. A heavily bearded Kevin Kline is playing Belle's father. And then we've got the castle's magical inhabitants, Cogsworth (Ian McKellen), Mrs. Potts (Emma Thompson), Lumière (Ewan McGregor) and Plumette (Gugu Mbatha-Raw).

 

Beauty and the Beast, directed by Bill Condon, hits theaters on March 17, 2017.
