Halloween costumes don’t have to be complicated to be fun. If your child loves the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, here's an easy way to get started on a fun look for trick or treating. In fact, you can even make a mask for every member of the family. For more great TMNT costume ideas, read on.

What you’ll need:

Stiffened felt in your desired color

Hole punch

Step 1: Create the design of your mask. You can make a paper template first, or just draw right onto the felt.

Step 2: Use your scissors to cut out the design, making sure to eliminate the marker lines.

Step 3: Make a hole on each side of the mask using the hole punch.

Step 4: Tie a long piece of string to each side. You can trim it once you have a better idea of how long you need it to be to fit your kiddo. You can use stretch cord, which can often be found near the gift wrap at craft or party-supply stores.

There you go: Kowabunga!
