While horror director James Wan and his Insidious star Patrick Wilson are currently working on a sequel to the 2010 hit, we'll see them face some other spirits in The Conjuring.
The haunted house tale follows a family who move into an old but charming New England farmhouse. Strange things begin to happen and it becomes clear that a dark spirit is stalking them. The family decides to call in a couple of paranormal investigators (Wilson and Vera Farmiga) for help.
Whereas most horror movie trailers show off their money shots well before audiences purchase tickets, The Conjuring takes a restrained approach and manages to be creepy without giving away the story. In fact, Wilson and Farmiga don't even appear in the teaser.
Warner Bros. originally slotted this movie for a January 2013 release, but bumped it to a higher profile summer date. The film will now arrive in theaters on July 19.
