AWARDS: Richard Linklater's coming-of-age story about the trials and tribulations of a family over the course of 12 years is gaining a ton of steam thanks not only to its inclusion on major top 10 lists, but also because it's starting to win some awards. The New York Film Critics Circle honored Boyhood as its best film of the year, with Linklater taking the directing prize and Patricia Arquette receiving a best supporting actress award. The full list of NYFCC winners, which also includes Whiplash, The Lego Movie and The Babadook, can be found here.
