Those of you who skipped on buying or renting Avatar when it was released as a single disc with no extra flair earlier this year in the hopes the next release would be more up your alley should be satisfied with what 20th Century Fox plans to unveil this November 16th. The Avatar Extended Collector's Edition will hit on Blu-ray and DVD in a three-disc set that promises to contain "Eight Hours of Never-Before-Seen Material and In-Depth Exploration into the World of Pandora!" Woohoo!
Not only will each collection feature both the theatrical release and the newer re-release (with those extra minutes of footage), but you'll also get a family audio track with objectionable language removed, as well as a new collector's extended cut with sixteen more minutes added on, plus an alternate opening Earth scene.
