It doesn't feel like a summer movie season without a movie to scare us away from ever going near the water, and this summer The Shallows (in theaters July 1) looks to be that movie.

So why not watch it while floating in water?

Those brave enough to do just that are in luck -- one movie theater is actually staging a screening of The Shallows on water, but you'll need to have the guts (and be in Texas) in order to take on the challenge.

Of course we're talking about the Alamo Drafthouse theater chain, known for their inventive road show screenings. The Alamo folks routinely screen Jaws on the water almost every year, and with a new killer-shark movie invading theaters, it makes sense to break out the inner tubes and bathing suits (and popcorn) for what they're billing as a "dive-in" movie experience.

Here are the deets [via Slashfilm]:

Screening date: June 28, 2016, a day before the film opens in theaters.

Location: Next Level Ride in Del Valle, Texas (located just outside of Austin)

What you get if you attend: Your own "exclusively designed keepsake inner tube"

Other stuff to hit up: Before the screening, you'll get to munch on some food-truck options and hang out in a beer garden, this way you have time to get plenty tipsy before getting your float on for The Shallows.

Finally, you can buy tickets here

Other great road show screenings the Drafthouse has hosted previously include the time it screened Buried for moviegoers while they sat in coffins, or that time it screened Deliverance after canoeing down a river. In our opinion, you haven't fully experienced a movie until you've experienced it the Drafthouse way, so dive in and have at it.
