Paul Yanover


Paul Yanover was named Fandango President in 2012, and since then has grown the company from a ticketing utility into the ultimate digital network for all things entertainment, with best-in-class movie and TV information, trailers and original video, ticketing and streaming.

Under Yanover's stewardship, the company's portfolio has grown to include a suite of ticketing properties: Fandango, MovieTickets.com and Flixster. Fandango has pioneered many movie discovery and ticketing innovations with top online, mobile, social, AI bot and voice-activated technology platforms from Apple, Google, Amazon, Facebook, Snapchat, Microsoft and others.

Yanover also added to the Fandango digital network Rotten Tomatoes, the world-famous entertainment recommendations brand, and Vudu, a leading video on-demand streaming service, offering new release and catalog movies, plus next-day TV shows, on hundreds of millions of connected OTT and mobile devices.

Before Fandango, Yanover served as executive vice president and managing director of Disney Online, where he oversaw all Disney-branded initiatives on the Internet and mobile web, including Disney.com, online games and virtual worlds, family-targeted sites, and streaming service Disney Movies Online. Yanover began his career with Disney at Walt Disney Feature Animation, ultimately becoming vice president of technology and digital production for the division. He also served as senior vice-president of Disney Parks & Resorts Online, overseeing the ecommerce business across Disney's resorts and theme parks.

Yanover holds a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a double honors Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Economics degree from the University of Western Ontario.

Kevin Shepela

Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer

Kevin Shepela leads all commerce initiatives, including marketing, business, and product operations for the Fandango digital network.

Shepela oversees exhibitor and studio relationships, as well as the transactional operations for the company’s ticketing and home entertainment businesses, including ticketing properties, Fandango, MovieTickets.com, and Flixster, and leading on-demand streaming service, Vudu.

Shepela has been instrumental in expanding Fandango’s ticketing and home entertainment businesses over the years, adding hundreds of exhibitors and expanding the company’s ticketing network to tens of thousands of new screens nationwide, as well as acquiring the Vudu on-demand streaming service.

He also directs the business services groups that manage day-to-day support for both customers and exhibitors. During his tenure at Fandango, Shepela also led business development and helped expand the company’s commerce distribution. He also oversaw and grew Fandango’s gift card business, selling gift cards online and at tens of thousands of retail outlets nationwide.

Before joining Fandango, Shepela led business development initiatives across former Comcast Interactive Media (CIM) properties, most notably, Comcast Digital Entertainment and DailyCandy. Prior to CIM, he was Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at retail digital ad network RippleTV, focusing on retail distribution and strategic partnerships. Shepela has also held business development roles at Yahoo! Entertainment, Movielink and Loudeye.

Shepela holds an MBA from Pepperdine's Graziadio School of Business & Management and a BA in Economics from UCLA.

Dana Benson

Senior Vice President, Communications

Dana Benson is the Senior Vice President, Communications for Fandango, the ultimate digital network for all things entertainment. Benson directs all corporate communications and public relations functions across the company's digital portfolio including its movie ticketing destinations, Fandango, Flixster and MovieTickets.com, world-famous entertainment recommendations brand Rotten Tomatoes, and leading on-demand streaming service, Vudu.

Prior to joining Fandango, Benson was Director, Public Relations at Disney Interactive where she led public relations efforts for The Walt Disney Company's Internet businesses including Disney.com, DisneyFamily.com and Babble.com, and Disney-branded online games, virtual worlds and mobile apps. Benson has held senior positions at top family entertainment and technology companies including Hasbro, Mattel and Broderbund Software, and public relations agencies Edelman, BHI (now a division of 42West) and The Lippin Group.

Benson earned a BS in business administration at the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. She was named one of the 2022 Top 50 Women Leaders in Los Angeles by Women We Admire and the National Diversity Council’s Top 50 Women in Entertainment in 2018.

Eric Black

Senior Vice President, Technology
Fandango & NBC Sports & Entertainment

Eric Black is the Senior Vice President of Technology for Fandango and NBC Sports & Entertainment. Previously, Black served as SVP, Sports & Entertainment Technology, NBCUniversal. In this role, he oversaw end-to-end technical development and delivery for NBCUniversal Entertainment and the multi-application deployment for all NBC Entertainment brands; and NBC Sports and Olympics, to prepare for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Super Bowl LVI, and the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Prior to his current role, Black served as SVP, US Operations and Video for Peacock, NBCUniversal’s direct-to-consumer streaming service, from 2019-2021. He was responsible for end-to-end operations for Peacock, overseeing video, operations, application development and delivery, during a pivotal time leading up to the launch of Peacock in April 2020.

Previously, Black served as SVP and Chief Technology Officer of NBC Sports Group Digital from 2015-2019. He also oversaw NBC Sports’ Playmaker Media, a separate business which provides end-to-end video support service for companies in need of best-in-class live streaming and VOD solutions.

Black joined NBCUniversal as a webmaster for NBC New York’s website, wnbc.com, in June 2000. In 2010, as Director of Digital Operations for NBC Sports, he managed the first-ever live stream of Super Bowl XLVI. He was named Vice President, Technology, NBC Sports and NBC Olympics in 2012.

Black has been recognized with eight Sports Emmy awards, the Olympic Golden Rings for the Games of the XXXI Olympiad on NBC, and the Edward R. Murrow Award for 9/11 coverage in 2004. In addition, he was honored with the 2013-2014 technology and engineering Emmy Award for Pioneering Delivery of Pay TV Linear Video to Consumer Owned and Managed Devices Over an IP Connection.

Jason Davis

Senior Vice President & GM, Rewards & Gift Cards

Jason Davis is responsible for the management of Fandango Rewards, the loyalty and rewards business division at Fandango. Davis oversees all operations for Fandango Rewards (fandangorewards.com), which helps connect major brands and their consumers with blockbuster movies through creative ticketing and movie streaming promotions and customer loyalty programs. In addition, Fandango Rewards operates all consumer Gift Cards for Fandango, Vudu and MovieTickets.com, available at over 75,000 retails across the country and direct to consumer sales online. Davis also works closely with NBCUniversal's Digital Media Sales unit for integrated campaigns and cross-media planning, using Fandango's movie ticket, concession rewards and virtual rewards to help drive customer engagement and purchase intent.

Prior to Fandango, Davis was the EVP of Marketing and Product Innovation for Quantum Rewards, a consumer loyalty and incentives company and creator of Hollywood Movie Money™, the nation's most widely accepted promotional movie certificate. Quantum was acquired by Fandango in 2013. Prior to that, Davis was SVP, Product and Technology for Examiner.com, where he managed the product development, creative, technology and project management teams.

Davis spent more than six years at The Walt Disney Company in various senior level positions. Most recently, he was the VP of Disney Online, responsible for business management, product development and operations for all Disney-branded online and mobile entertainment products and online destinations, including the #1 online destination for kids and families, Disney.com. While at Disney, Davis and his team won numerous awards for their online and mobile products, including an Emmy Award for interactive media.

Kerry Samovar

Senior Vice President, Head of Business & Legal Affairs

Kerry Samovar serves as the Senior Vice President, Head of Legal and Business Affairs for Fandango, the ultimate digital network for all things entertainment. In leading the legal and business affairs group, he is responsible for structuring and negotiating Fandango's contractual relationships, setting legal policy, supporting M&A activity, litigation, intellectual property, compliance, and other legal, administrative and business affairs activities.

Samovar oversees legal and business affairs functions for all properties in Fandango's portfolio, which includes online ticketers Fandango, MovieTickets.com and Flixster, as well as world-famous entertainment recommendations brand Rotten Tomatoes and leading video on-demand streaming service, Vudu.

Samovar has served in a number of senior legal leadership roles at technology and media companies, including SVP & Deputy General Counsel at Rovi Corporation (now known as TiVo), SVP of Legal Affairs for Gemstar-TV Guide, and SVP of Policy & Legal Affairs and Chief Privacy Officer for Ticketmaster. He has also served as the General Counsel of StyleClick, a publicly traded e-commerce company controlled by IAC, and General Counsel of New.net, an Idealab-funded domain name and search company. Samovar also worked in legal and business affairs at Universal Home Entertainment, Universal Television, and USA Networks, where he was the VP of Business & Legal Affairs, after starting his career at Latham & Watkins.

Samovar holds both a JD and BA from UC Berkeley.

Mark Young

SVP, Global Strategy, Business & Corporate Development

Mark Young leads Global Strategy, Business and Corporate Development for Fandango, the ultimate digital network for all things entertainment and a unit of NBCUniversal.

Mark is focused on providing insights into consumer and technology trends and capitalizing on them to grow all lines of Fandango's business, domestically and internationally, including online movie ticketers Fandango, MovieTickets.com and Flixster; Vudu, the company's leading on-demand streaming service; and Rotten Tomatoes, the world-famous entertainment recommendations brand.

Mark also oversees distribution and co-marketing of mobile services, commerce and video with third-party partners such as mobile network providers, handset manufacturers, connected devices, social media and digital video platforms, app stores and retailers.

Mark joined NBCUniversal from Comcast Interactive Media (CIM) where he led mobile strategy and business development across a portfolio of digital properties, as well as co-led the strategy and go-to-market launch of Xfinity's initial video service on iOS (iPad & iPhone) and Android devices.

Prior to Comcast, Young was at The Walt Disney Company for seven years, of which the last three years he served as the vice president of strategy and business development for The Walt Disney Internet and Mobile Group. Prior to Disney, he was the vice president of business development and partner management for mobile data services pioneer Moviso/Infospace, and an executive at IBM's Innovation Center where he advised studios and media companies on digital asset distribution and management.

He is a member of the Center of Technology Management at USC, and a member (and prior Board member) of the home entertainment industry trade association, Digital Entertainment Group (DEG). Young is also a Mentor for Comcast’s LIFT Labs/TechStars and at USC’s Marshall School of Business Mentor for MBAs.

Alejandra Brizuela

VP, Product and UX/Design

As the VP, Head of Product & UX/UI for Fandango, Brizuela oversees product development for the company’s digital portfolio, including Fandango, Flixster, Vudu and Rotten Tomatoes.

Brizuela helps shape Fandango’s product strategy to create compelling experiences for consumers, no matter where they are in the entertainment journey – from movie and TV discovery and recommendations to theatrical ticketing to home entertainment.

Prior to Fandango, Brizuela was VP/Head of Product for the startup eSalon (acquired by Henkel) overseeing product management, design, CRM, and Business Intelligence. Previously, she was Product Manager of Worldwide Singles for dating site eHarmony, Marketing Manager for Disney Mobile, and Technical Editor for IAC, where she helped create Ask Jeeves En Español. A native of Argentina, Alejandra holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from the University of Buenos Aires.

John Orsanic

VP, Head of Finance

John Orsanic leads all financial planning and controllership processes for Fandango, the ultimate digital network for all things entertainment. Orsanic executes growth strategies, ensures controllership and corporate governance for the company, while leading financial performance for its product lines, including Fandango, MovieTickets.com, Flixster, Rotten Tomatoes and Vudu.

Through acquisitions like Vudu, Orsanic helped Fandango evolve into a full-service entertainment company, augmenting its ticketing offerings and expanding its focus into on-demand home entertainment.

Prior to Fandango, Orsanic served as the Senior Vice President of Finance for IHeart Media + Entertainment, overseeing strategic planning, budgeting, and revenue management for the mass media and outdoor advertising company. Prior to iHeart, Orsanic served as the VP of Finance for Ceridian US, where he was the Finance and Pricing leader of the US human capital management services company. Orsanic also served in senior finance positions at General Electric.

Orsanic graduated with an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, and with a BS in Business Administration, Boler School of Business, John Carroll University.

Josette Sprott

VP, Human Resources
Fandango & DTC Technology

Josette Sprott leads all people strategies for NBCUniversal’s Direct to Consumer (DTC) U.S. technology group and for Fandango, the ultimate digital network for all things entertainment and a unit of NBC’s DTC group.

Sprott not only leads all HR functions, but also supports the company’s business goals. Sprott drives HR initiatives including recruitment, performance management, employee learning and development, diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as employee engagement and communications.

Over the past decade, Sprott has held several senior level HR positions at Warner Bros. Discovery, where she most recently served as the People Partner Lead for HBO Max. She has also directed HR efforts for Warner Bros., CNN America, Bleacher Report, The McGraw-Hill Companies, and Atari, Inc.

Sprott holds an MBA from Bernard Baruch College, CUNY and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, Business and Liberal Arts from Queens College, CUNY. She is completing her Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership from the USC Rossier School of Education.
