    Awesome visuals, but overall lacking..

    by sheldoa

The cinematography in Oceans is amazing. There is no denying that. Their choice of Pierce Brosnan as the narrator, however, was a mistake. It almost seems as though he is trying to lull you to sleep at some points. The music is also slow and somewhat dreary at times. As this is a nature film, I let these things go, and definitely enjoyed the movie.

My biggest let-down was the lack of actual information provided about the species depicted on screen. I went into the theater expecting to get some in depth information about some species I had never seen before. There wasn't really a lot of educational information provided for many of the animals shown. There were a few crabs and shrimp that received a good bit of attention, which were interesting. I was just hoping for a bit more bang for my buck. I would still recommend this movie to any fan of nature films and programs. Just don't go in expecting anything as informative as shows like Planet Earth or Life. Enjoy!

The movie was so real and I learned about a lot of animals. I recommend anyone who's interested in ocean mammals to see it. It shows the struggles they face every single day.

    Great MOvie!

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie - seeing all the animals on the big screen was overwhelming - Disney again did a great job of bringing to life the importance of our awareness to the all important animals and the oceans that we rely on. Definitely something that all parents should take their children to see. The graphics and animals were out of this world.
