Dreamworks has finally released a trailer for Rise of the Guardians, an adaptation of William Joyce's books which re-imagines classic children's characters into superhero guardians.
Alec Baldwin busts out his Russian accent as he narrates this first look at Guardians, which arrives in theaters during Thanksgiving weekend (November 21, to be exact). Baldwin voices Santa, or North as he's known in the movie, the leader of the Guardians. Joining him are Isla Fisher's tooth fairy Tooth, Hugh Jackman's Easter Bunny, Bunnymund and the voice-less Sandy (aka Sandman).
The plot revolves around the Boogeyman, voiced by Jude Law and re-named Pitch, who aims to spread fear throughout the world. The Guardians join together and welcome in a new member in Chris Pine's Jack Frost as they attempt to protect the imagination and hopes of children all over the world.
Check out the first trailer below and sound off with your first impressions of this film. How does it grab you?

Real... It's like the avengers or the justice league only with santa and the toothfairy... I just don't know what to say about it.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
"Squirrel!"
